Privacy policy

Vibi Clips is the highlight video service at https://vibiclips.com, including the signed-in desk and the VibiClips iOS app that uses that service. This page says what that service does with information, as built on 2026-10-04.

This draft does not name a legal entity, a mailing address, or a privacy contact email. Those are not published on the site. It also does not claim compliance with any privacy law.

Waitlist

The page at https://vibiclips.com/ asks for a name, an email address, a role (parent or guardian, player, or coach or club director), and an optional club or school website. Joining the waitlist also stores the time you submitted it, the IP address Cloudflare provides for the request, and the browser's User-Agent. The role list on the form includes "Player (13+)". The form does not ask for a date of birth.

Account

Creating an account asks for an email address and a password. The password is stored as a hash, not as the password you typed. The service emails a confirmation link from noreply@vibiclips.com. That link expires after 24 hours.

The athlete profile asks for the athlete's name, a public handle, jersey number, position, school or club, team name, and the club website. Brand colors and a crest can be read from that website. You can add a short bio and a profile photo later.

Signing in keeps a session for 30 days. On the web that session is a cookie named vibi_session (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax). The app can send the same session token on each request. The session record includes the User-Agent. Signing out ends that session. A password reset link, also from noreply@vibiclips.com, expires after one hour. After a successful reset, older sessions for that account stop working.

If you invite someone, the service stores their email address and emails them a link from noreply@vibiclips.com. The link expires after 14 days. The raw invite token is not stored; a hash of it is.

A promo code you type can be saved on the account so it can be filled in later. Payment is described below.

Profile pages anyone can open

If the athlete has a handle, https://vibiclips.com/ followed by that handle is a public page. Anyone can request the profile. That public profile includes the athlete's name, handle, jersey number, position, school or club, team name, club website, brand colors, bio, profile photo, and the time the profile was created. It does not include the account email address or the password.

Finished highlight files under the public media path can be requested without signing in. Original uploads are stored separately and are not served on that public media path.

Video you upload

Uploading a clip sends the video file to the service. The file can include its own creation time and location tags (for example a QuickTime location tag). If a location tag is there, the service reads it. It does not add a location that was not in the file. Coordinates can be sent to Nominatim (OpenStreetMap), BigDataCloud, and Photon so the desk can show a short place name, such as a venue, city, and state. The place, and the rounded coordinates, are cached. The desk screen shows the place name rather than the raw coordinates. A public profile request can still include the location value that was on the clip.

To make a highlight, the service sends still frames from the clip, along with the athlete name, jersey number, position, school or club, team, and any note on the job, to Anthropic's API. A club website you enter can also be fetched, and text and a crest image from that site can be sent to Anthropic, to pick colors and a name. The club site can be fetched again to read a volleyball calendar and suggest an opponent.

The iOS app asks to use the camera to record game clips, the microphone so those clips include sound, and Photos so you can pick a video or save a local copy. The app does not request a location permission. Location still arrives if it is inside the video file, as described above.

The web desk marks each upload with an approval flag set to true. That flag is not a separate parent review step, and a public profile is not held back by it.

You can delete a clip while signed in. You can also delete your whole account while signed in. That delete ends every sign-in session for the account, removes the athlete profile and its public handle page, deletes that account's desk videos and profile photo from storage, cancels an active Stripe subscription when one exists, and deletes the account record so the email can be used to register again. App Store subscriptions are not canceled by this button; manage those in Apple's subscription settings. Reports about public profiles or clips are stored for human review and do not hide the content automatically.

Payment

Subscribe and clip packs are paid through Stripe Checkout. The service sends Stripe the account email and an account id, and stores the Stripe customer id and the subscription state. The card number is entered on Stripe's page, not on a Vibi Clips form. Prices shown in the product are $29 a month for 50 clips, $10 for 20 clips, and $20 for 50 clips.

Cookies and similar storage

The site sets the sign-in cookie described above, and a second cookie when an operator uses an admin session. The marketing pages, including this one, load fonts from Google (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). The pages we inspected do not include an analytics or advertising script.

How long some records last

A sign-in session lasts 30 days unless you sign out sooner. An email confirmation link lasts 24 hours. A password reset link lasts one hour. An invite link lasts 14 days. This page does not state how long accounts, waitlist entries, videos, or payment records are kept. That period is not set in the product.

Children

Vibi Clips is built for club volleyball families, and the public site talks about youth athletes. The waitlist form offers a "Player (13+)" role. The service does not ask for a birthday and does not check age. This page does not say the service meets a children's privacy law.

Contact

A privacy contact email and a mailing address are not published on this page yet.

Changes

The date at the top is the date of this text. If the product changes what it collects, this page should change with it.
